I think that's when they start taking donations isn't it? Another part of the facts says sept 4th 

Look at the registry date. Says closes at 3pm cst on 8/31 so I would assume its hours earlier it goes active. They begin taking donations on 9/4. 

It says the program will launch and then talks about donations. 

Under the facts it says registry apps end aug 31st so I think they made some mistakes on their dates 

I corrected my comment. It says goes active late august 2011. Then says application closes tentatively set for 3pm cst on 8/31. 

Tomorrow is the day to sign up. It says it on the FAQ's sheet. Not sure what you are looking at? 

I am also going by the save the date event on FB. They have the link to the website. 

Im looking on my facebook at the sears page now and its eems like they have different dates on different pages.

When does the Registry Application go live?
The registry goes live on September 28, 2010.

When does the Registry Application end?
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis up to a total of 23,000 participating military families.

When does the Registry Donation go live?
The Registry Donation goes live on November 1, 2010.

When does the Registry Donation end?
The Registry Donation ends on December 31, 2010.

When will I get my money?
There will be (3) disbursements through an electronic gift card on or around as November 23, 2010, December 21, 2010 and January 7, 2011.

Those are last years dates. 

oh LOL well thats why I keep pulling up different dates on different pages.

Here maybe this will help. It's an Army Wife's blog about the subject. She has a screen shot from the ACTUAL sears facebook and a link to their fb page.

It does confirm that it opens on Aug. 31st for TWO hours. 11a-1p in Cali, 1p-3p Central time, etc...

I've never done this before, but what exactly do you do? register ahead of time, or do you register that day. And what is the direct link to where i'll have to fill out info tomorrow?! 

Made it more apparent there was a change in dates!

This link will go live tomorrow. Fill out the form with the ACTIVE DUTY members informtation. (VERY IMPORTANT!!!) You will receive email confirmations saying that you were or were not approved. 

you just go to the page and register using your husbands info because hes the one thats in the military. Good luck getting through, so many people try to sign up its like the flood gates open and that poor server cant keep up lol. It took me hours to get my submission to go through last year. I kept getting an error message because the server was so busy.

I think its a nice thing they do for people so if I can register cool and if not I hope everyone else gets through :)

Yes I know there will be but I was simply alerting those that may complain to the change in date. Less chance then that they have to complain.
