POLL: What do you do that relieves stress the best?

I am one that has always had an anger issue, but when things get tough as the wife and mother of the house and when it's hard to see how DADDY IS HELPING AT ALL.....(phew...breathe....)how do you deal with the stress and get through it?

I think a combination of everything. If I'm mad at my husband (we don't have children, so it's usually about him being a pig) I can go to the gym and after a nice long jog or swim, I feel better. That and yoga is pretty relaxing. If things get really bad, then I call up my friend or SIL to talk about the latest stupid thing our husbands have done. Fortunately enough, my husband and I have that odd type of relationship were we can push each other's buttons and really piss each other off, but end up laughing in the middle of the argument.

Mine's a combo of everything too but thought it would be a neat poll to see what people say. I like you're vote;-) Yeah, when my hubby and I get in a fight we end up looking at each other with the look that says, "well, since we will continue to disagree either one of us leaves or we have sex". We have sex. That kind is always the best!

When I wasn't pregnant and broken I would exercise and drink wine. The exercise would have continued through the pregnancy if this pregnancy hadn't gone down hill within the first few weeks and landed me on best rest for eternity... ANYWAYS, outside of that I do projects. I love to build things (wood working stuff) and make stuff. Im not crafty though in that making bows and small crap sort of way but I can build a desk, we're building the babys crib and stuff like that. Hammer and nails type not ribbons and bows.

And I vent online with close friends who won't judge.

Kick the dog, beat the kids and add a small amount of arsenic to husband's food.

That is so cool! I grew up in a very big, very big conservative family and my dad taught all my brothers how to work with wood but never felt the need to teach me though I wanted to learn. My husband has taught me to use a skill saw and we did the walls in our baby's first room, but he actually hates wood-working as a hobby. I envy you!

I like your comments. You aren't mean or judgmental on others, but you are very honest in your opinions...sometimes a little harsh, but that makes you "real". How I read that is that I think you must be a great friend. I hate when people won't tell me when I'm being an ass.

Maleficent --- 9 years ago -

I can definitely be harsh. Ive grown bitter over the past years and unfortunately that shines through sometimes but I honestly don't mean any harm. I miss being naive in my rainbow and unicorn world. Truly judgmental people have gotten to me. I judge others as well, I won't pretend I don't as it's a natural human thing we do but I try and keep my judgements from effecting others. I'll sit here and judge someone silently but Im not about to fight for a law restricting someone from doing something I don't believe in when they aren't harming others and it has absolutely no effect on my what-so-ever or anything else along those lines etc... and now that I've trailed off topic...
