Has anyone filed one of these? If so could you let me know your experiences and what they paid? Our shipment will be at least 19 days late as of now. 

uhm??? is this a serious question? you plan accordingly when you are moving. I have 4 kids and a dog and we made sure we had enough stuff to get us by. we didnt have our stuff for a week because we took our time traveling so we missed our first delivery. that wasnt tmos fault. where are you pcs'ng from? 

Umm yes. Our delivery was scheduled for August 9th or 10th and is now pushed back to August 29th at the earliest simply because the carrier decided to make our shipment wait. We will have been without our household goods for 5-6 weeks at that point and qualify for an inconvenience claim by which the carrier pays for certain increased costs due to the days beyond when delivery should have occurred such as laundromat charges and increased costs for food and paper plates etc. 

Good for you. That's a loooong time and stuff really adds up. I would be curious to hear how it goes. 

Thanks. Having no furniture is really getting old, as is going to the laundromat several times a week. We had everything worked out to make it to the date our things were scheduled to be delivered but the carrier never even bothered to let us know they hadn't even left California with it yet. I'm not going to waste my time getting mad, but they did let us know we need to file an inconvenience claim. All the info I can find on it states that it will cover "reasonable expenses" but I have no idea what exactly that means. I was hoping to find someone who has had to do it. 

Just send in everything related to having to wait. Like if they have your fridge so you can't keep a lot of fresh food on hand, if your buying ice, eating out, laundry, buying a small fridge to get by. If you bought air mattresses etc.

Wow... What did you do? I don't think I could live in my furniture-less house much longer than I will have to with my situation. Eating meals with my whole family with no chairs or table but our animals hanging around is interesting, lol. 

PCS's are one of the many reasons we have a camper. I have extra chairs, table, dishes, mattresses all in one portable little house!

I was single mom at the time and my daughter was really young. I had traveled with her pack and play so she slept there, I bought myself a new bedroom set (I didn't have one prior; just a matress and box spring), and bought new pots and pans and dishes. I brought most of our clothing and her toys with us. The worst part was being tv-less lol. We watched movies on my laptop. It was lonely, boring, and frankly a dark time in my life. I bought us a bird for entertainment haha.
