It doesn't matter what the comments say. There will always be jerks who want to put their 2 cents in. In being just another civilian in this country benefiting from the hard work of men and women like this I have no right to judge their merit as Marines. All I should be doing is saying thank you. Frankly using their worthiness as a discussion for entertainment kind of disgusts me.

If I was enlisting in the Marine Corps, I would love to have that job. My best friend has been on two deployments and even she would love to have the deployment experience that they are having/have had.
I know how dirty some of those grunts can be. I can only imagine the kind of distraction it is for them having females around 24/7. When my husband goes on patrols through the cities every 7 hours and gets shot at and blown up every day, the last thing he needs is his guys being distracted.
Really, Jillian? You left this comment? Are you SERIOUS??
I'll say what I said on the photo comments. I know how dirty most of those grunts can be. I can only imagine how distracting it will be for them having to work with females on a daily basis. The last thing I want is for the guys who are supposed to be watching my husband's back to be distracted by anything. Also, anyone remember Jessica Lynch? The US clearly cares much more about their female troops being killed or POW. They spent so much more time/money/energy trying to find her than they ever spend trying to find men. And she's a hero because of it. Yet most people probably could not remember a single name of a male pow...

Wow Jillian. Let me give you a little FYI since you're obviously as ignorant as they come, the ladies chosen to be FET are some of the top female marines in their commands, they aren't there to bang grunts they are there to kick @ss and take names.
I really want to tell you to run across the 5 at 5PM but that would be rude.

Then that is THEIR issue...the women are there to do something those men could NEVER do. EVER. No amount of training will allow them to do what they do. So as soon as the laws over there change - THEN you can say ish like that...

That was the media. That was not the Army OR the US. They sensationalized it because it was a female and she was a POW.
If you want to go that far, how come theres only some stories on US military deaths, can you name all of them with out googling? No. You cant. The bottom line is most of America believes whats on TV, and what is put on TV News. How you equate that to we love female POWs more, is just disgusting.
