Anyone have any good recommendations for dentist for your little ones? I have a one year old I desparetly need to take in to get her teeth checked but haven't found a dentist to take her too. thanks

My daughters go to Access Children's Dental. They've been going there since my youngest was 1 and my oldest was 3, they are now 6yrs and 8yrs and continue to go there. I've also referred many friends who now go there as well.

do they accept the dental insurance (i think its concordia?)

Rainbow Dancer --- 12 years ago -

yes they do accept the military dental insurance, I believe its MetLife now.

Myself, along with the friends I've referred are all military dependents and use MetLife as the primary dental insurance.

Carlsbad Pediatric Smiles was awesome with my daughter. They're just for kids, have tvs in the ceiling above the chairs, the kids get a balloon, prize, etc. There's even video games in the waiting room :)

That's how access dental is too, I've taken my 7-year-old there and she got all her work done. She loves it cause she can watch cartoons while they work on her teeth.

I got a letter in the mail awhile back which stated the notification of insurance change.

But I assure you they accept military insurance :)

My daughters, up until recently, were sponsored by their father (birth) whose active duty. I have a secondary insurance through my work and they accepted both mine and their father (military) insurances when my oldest had to get a root canal done.

I'm glad someone posted this. We just had my daughters first exam today and she has 2 cavities. :( She's 4. The specialist at Pendleton Dental only sees them on Wednesdays which don't work for us. I called these people Access Childrens Dental and got an appointment for Monday.

Maleficent- That's awesome!! My oldest daughter was 5yrs old when she had to get 3 teeth extractions and a root canal!! My daughter did the procedure with no problems or complications. Dr.Fatoorachi is really good with my girls!! We are practically family with them :)

And now my youngest, 6yrs old, needed orthodontic work. She referred us to a orthodontist who is AMAZING!! Just last month my youngest was excited to start her ortho work as my older, 8yrs old, is jealous!! Yea who in their right mind would be excited about this?? That's how great of a team they all are!! :)

My 11 year old will be needing braces.

Did they give your daughter anesthesia for all the dental work? Mine is autistic and she needs to be put under. I'm sure they will do it but if someone already knows they will, it's comforting.

Dr. Fatoorachi referred us to

Dr. Hassey
Camino Real Orthodontics
3144 El Camino Real, Suite 205
Carlsbad, CA 92008
P: 760.434.2288

Dr.Hasseys staff is just BEYOND AMAZING!! I kid you not when I say my 8yr old is jealous that my 6yr old is going through a treatment plan. But whenever we do go they treat my 8yr old as if she is the patient. So they both look forward to going to the orthos office. As for costs, they really do work with you on payments. I have a CareCredit account from last month (I had emergency dental work for myself) and I really didn't want to extend my credit, bc I can pay off my CareCredit balance in 6 months interest free, so they allowed me to do in-house payments.

Maleficent --- 12 years ago -

Yeah I do not want to do care credit.

Rainbow Dancer --- 12 years ago -

For convenience, they will allow you to do in-house payments where you can set up your own payment dates :)

Awesome dentist. My daugther refused to let a dentist get in her mouth until we went here. I love his approach. Totally geared to kids. I was really impressed by his technique to get in our 18month olds mouth.

Carlsbad Pediatrics. They are awesome. And they also do Saturday appts. They are so friendly and my kids love the fact that they get cute cards in the mail from them. And the point system, my oldest always asks if its time to see the dentist yet, lol. I send all my friends there and they love it. I also got very nice thank you letters in the mail after referring people. Im big on customer service, if you want my business your customer service better be good and theres is excellent. The office is made for kids, your kids can basically do anything they want. Works good with my 3 year old, lots to keep him busy.
