I just wanted to say im pretty freaking proud of myself. I went to the gym mon-fri this week. I know some people do that all the time but i havent done it in years. And ive lost 5 lbs.

What are you proud of yourself for this week?

SoonToBeJD --- 13 years ago -

I survived law school finals! I won't get my grades for another week or so though =/

LaLa --- 13 years ago -

wow. Thats awesome. I couldnt even imagine how tough that would be. Where do you go to school at if you dont mind me asking.

Jersey Shore Chickie --- 13 years ago -

I survived my last week of waddling around work (36 weeks pregnant) and I don't go back until October :)

I did my first year at California Western. However, I hated it. It's crappy school with a crappy ranking/reputation. I missed the deadlines for the "good" schools haha. BUT, I've been accepted as a transfer to Gould for the fall! It's ranked 18th in the nation. (The top 35 are notoriously competitive).

I calculated all my grades and as long as I get a low C on my finals I'll keep an A in every class!

We finally seem to have all the kinks in the home buying process worked out and should close in 12 days HOORAY!

Here's a question, if you aren't supposed to make any large purchases while waiting to close, and I need to order a fridge because no one carries the one I want in store........how the heck will I have my fridge in time?

Why aren't you supposed to make any large purchases while waiting to close? We bought a fridge, cooktop, new carpets for the house and more all while waiting to close.

Champ --- 13 years ago -

I think because they look at your bank account and want you to explain certain purchases? I'd probably still just buy one because otherwise you won't have it in time. We bought a washer that was in stock and it took them awhile to schedule the delivery, at the time we didnt have or know anyone with a truck, so delivery was the only option.

LaLa --- 13 years ago -

yay buying a house!!
I wish we could but there is no point when were moving back home in less than two years. And houses are much cheaper and bigger there.

Jersey Shore Chickie --- 13 years ago -

You could put it on a credit card, that is what we did while waiting for our house to be built and were in escrow. They didn't check our credit card, only the bank status.

GardenWitch --- 13 years ago -

IDK, it's just on their list of things not to do. They already wigged out over his Dity deposits.

Put it on credit and pay it off the day you close. That's what we did.

Alisa --- 13 years ago -

You could always use a rent a center, like we did, for the first week.

Wisconsin Sarah --- 13 years ago -

GW we had to wait (on request of the mortgage company) to buy our washer/dryer/fridge ... we bought them two days after we closed and had to wait two weeks for delivery because only one of three items was in stock and it just made more sense to have them all delivered together ...

It sucked to have no fridge for two weeks ...

GardenWitch --- 13 years ago -

Yikes! I'd probably go buy a cheapy to put in the garage for drinks later on.

Living in the camper with a 2 foot fridge is about as fridgeless as I can handle!

That is what I was thinking you should do.
