Flying? Driving? Where is "home" for you?

We are driving all the way to North Carolina! I'm so excited!! 

driving.....about 30 minutes south of us!! HAHA!

Yup. Leave on Saturday. We always fly. Home is in VA. 

yes very lucky!! I dread moving lol not only for fear of not being close to family but my kids know how far away we are and always ask to go see my mom and dad and great grandparents and it would kill me to not let them do that whenever they want!! 

No it is our first christmas here :(. It is hard on us. But we just drove here from IL at the end of oct. So traveling with a 10 month old and two dogs doesnt sound fun right now. 

I just remembered to call Rayne and suspend our service for 3 weeks, and went online to USPS place a hold on our mail delivery. With the craziness of the season sometimes it's easy to forget the little things, so just thought I'd give everyone else that is planning on leaving a friendly reminder :) 

No we just moved plus when my husband and I got married we made a deal that Christmas was going to be at our house because we are the young couple just starting out. Family is more then welcome to come visit us but we don't go anywhere for the holidays.

We are headed home to VA in January for about 3 weeks. We haven't been home in 2 years and no one has met our boys (seen pics).

Northern VA/Fairfax area. Very exciting! I'll bet everyone is so anxious to finally meet them :)

I'm very fortunate to be able to go there quite often. I've made at least 5 trips to VA this year alone. I would definitely miss it if that weren't the case. There is no place like home ;) I do love it here in Cali and it will be very hard/sad to leave in 5 months.

i also go very often, ive been there 4 times this year and were deciding on going for xmas, but i still miss it because i want to go back and live overthere not here!! lol 

My home is the place we own and my husband, kids and I live. We have to leave our home this year and spend Christmas at the home of family. So "going" yes but "home" no. 

We are going to my husbands hometown. We leave on Monday and it's about a 10hr drive. We will be there for 10 days. 

Wow that's so crazy! I'm from King George/Fredericksburg area. My husband is from Richmond. We are super excited but we are very scared about taking them on a plane. Me, hubby, 1 yr old twins, and my chihuahua...small circus.

LOL! Should be a fun flight :) My mom lives in Fredericksburg ;) 

I'm home now. Having some special company for Christmas, then going to taking a mini vacation for New Years, then back to training :/

Yes. My dad retired from here and lives right down the street from us in Temecula (we bought his other house out).

Nope -- we're staying here. My family is in NC, his is in FL.

We just got here at the very end of October. So we made a family decision (between us & our families) that we'd save the trip for when we'd been here a bit longer than 2 months. 

Nope. Going to visit family only causes us to be pulled in 3 different directions. We are much happier just having it be our little family :) 

No- my boys play high school basketball and season runs straight through the holidays. We go home over the summer. 

Oue 'home' is a little island in NC. My husband is flying home from Cali on Friday and gets to stay for 2 weeks :)

There is even a song about spending Christmas where I live. I really wouldn't want to spend it anywhere else. I'm sure it will probably have to happen one day, so I'm going to enjoy being 'home' while I can.
