What do you ladies prefer to use? I am trying to figure out what I want to do, because if we use regular diapers I am going to start stocking up now so I have PLENTY lol, but if we use cloth I wanna do the same with cloth diapers...so wondering what you ladies prefer?? :) And why??

I used both for awhile. But i got lazy with the washing of cloth diapers so i quit. I loved them though.

I like the cloth diapers because they have all the patterns and colors and such, and for an infant during the summer prob way more comfortable to run around in at home but still look cute w a little shirt :)

I prefer regular ones. I think the cloth ones are cute, but not for me. I do not have the patience to do cloth nor do I want to do more laundry than I already do.

I have used disposable with my first two. I think with this one I want to try cloth, the all in one type.

DramaLlamasMomma --- 13 years ago -

I voted cloth which is all we use now on our 12 week old. We used disposables up until she was 6 weeks though. That was more out of laziness, zero sleep and the fact that even though we told everyone we were CDing people still bought us disposables. Now that we've switched I love it. Just throw the diapers in the wash and in the morn I have 20 clean diapers to use. We bought the kind with snaps so we can use these same diapers until she is potty trained!

When we were able to do it, cloth 100%. It was so much better for their skin.

grantsmommy --- 13 years ago -

cloth for sure! I just switched and i love it, i throw a load in the wash every night and it only takes a pinch.

Kariane2 --- 13 years ago -

Regular.
Having to do cloth diapers with twins was just too much.

Cayla --- 13 years ago -

kariane, no its not ;) I know many cloth mommas with twins and then some ;) WEAK EXCUSE :P

I use cloth, i did sposies with #1, cloth is way more economical, sensitive skin friendly, and all around fun :)

Eff that. I would rather spend my time doing something else then washing a gazillion diapers and all that.

What do u do with what's inside the cloth? Dump it in toilet? Don't they stain? I would never even try. I give credit to those who want to do it.

When they are still exclusively breastfed you don't have to do anything. Once they start solids you can just shake it off into the toilet. Some people get these nifty sprayers that attached to the toilet plumbing so you can spray them off there. Once you know what you are doing it's all actually really easy and not much time is spent working on it at all. It was so worth the healthier skin on my babies for me. The money saved was pretty great too. :-)

That makes sense. Thanks.

MaliceInWonderland --- 13 years ago -

Disposables before my little one was potty trained at 15 months (:

LilShutterbug --- 13 years ago -

I love my cloth.

If someone PAID me to use disposables, I don't think I'd do it. It'd take a significant amount of money to get me to do it, at least! And only because I could use the money to do other awesome stuff for my kiddo, not because it'd be worth it for the diapers alone.

HotGeekChick --- 13 years ago -

i use cloth during the day and sposies at night. he wakes up wet no matter what if i dont use huggies at night. i hate putting sposies on him during the day tho cuz man i hate tha tsquishy wet diaper feeling.

It's not my reasoning for why I did but it is a cute perk
