It is really your decision on the dress. I dont care for it. It is kind of boring in my eyes. Everyone has different taste. If you like and are happy with it, then go for it :)

picsphotography --- 13 years ago -

My only concern is to much poofy.

LilShutterbug --- 13 years ago -

its not too poofy, but make sure you get a WHITE slip/garment that will suck in your tummy. that dress is VERY unforgiving in the abdominal area and the fabric is thin, so you'll see right through it

Liz~*Celebrating Home *~ --- 13 years ago -

I dont think its poofy, there is a lot of tulle, but not poofy.

Wedding or ball?

Trace --- 13 years ago -

for a wedding or the ball?

are you refering to the baby in bun? Cause the fabric isn't see through.

for the ball

Liz~*Celebrating Home *~ --- 13 years ago -

Definitely no for the ball. I thought were getting a wedding dress fir your wedding.

picsphotography --- 13 years ago -

Definitely no for the ball

why not for the ball?

Liz~*Celebrating Home *~ --- 13 years ago -

bc its a wedding dress

Trace --- 13 years ago -

why not for the ball?

When people see white they think wedding. Also, it looks like a wedding dress. I wouldnt wear it because I would be worried about keeping it white all night. That could take away from the fun.

jdoll --- 13 years ago -

i think it's a pretty dress but i wouldn't wear it to the ball b/c it looks too much like a wedding gown. you look very pretty in it, though! :)

Trace --- 13 years ago -

I agree. If it was any other color I'd say yes.

Movinsoon --- 13 years ago -

No for the ball. I too thought you were trying on wedding dresses because it looks like there is another one hanging up in the back. Any other color I would say perfect! I love the flow of it, and it's not to poofy!

LilShutterbug --- 13 years ago -

For the BALL? NO WAY. Wedding gowns are for weddings. Ball gowns are for balls. Unless you're getting married AT the ball (after doesn't count), you should not wear a wedding dress TO the ball.

As for the baby-in-bun---yeah, but you can also see the white of the seams of the dress, which makes it look like you need a slip.

If the dress were black, I'd LOVE it for the ball (minus the train. everyone will step on your train and it'll be impossible to dance in, BELIEVE ME, I had one for my wedding and thought I'd die hauling it around to dance!)

if you want white, do NOT buy a wedding dress. Period.

I'm not to worried about the train. I'm getting everything altered on the dress, meaning getting rid of the train. I didn't even have a train on my wedding dress which was way bigger then this. Plus I don't dance!

I was just wondering if it was too poofy or if I should get some of it taken out.

Trace --- 13 years ago -

can you get it dyed? I don't know, do they dye dresses?

picsphotography --- 13 years ago -

That's the thing. I don't wanna dye it..I've been wanting a white one forever. And yes, they can dye dresses.

Mrs.Mommy --- 13 years ago -

It looks to much like a wedding dress for the ball.

Wisconsin Sarah --- 13 years ago -

I agree it's way too wedding for the Ball ..

and I agree again that you will HATE it having a train or excess fabric back there ... I had a WONDERFUL ball gown last year but it dragged a little in the back and I cannot express how annoying that was on about 100000 levels.

There was a girl at our ball last year that I am pretty sure wore a wedding dress - it looked AWFUL not because the dress wasnt pretty but because it was very clearly a WEDDING dress ...

HOWEVER - as nice as you look in that dress, I dont like the dress in general - it looks cheap and poorly made. Doesnt matter WHAT color it could be - I still wouldnt like it

Wisconsin Sarah --- 13 years ago -

ETA: I do like the back of the dress though lol

Wisconsin Sarah --- 13 years ago -

I think you CAN wear white - just not like THAT ... here is a link

I think THIS white dress is more appropriate

I kind of like this!

Not too bad!

picsphotography --- 13 years ago -

Sarah...those are all beautiful dresses.

I wore a long straight one last year and hated it. I don't like tight fitting things. That's why I went with the white dress. It was poofy like I wanted and white...I literally couldn't find anything.

Lula Belle --- 13 years ago -

There are different shades of white, you should consider one of those, since you want white. Maybe a different shade will make it look less "here comes the bride".

Wisconsin Sarah --- 13 years ago -

I really suggest promgirl.com
they have TONS of different style dresses - you can search by color, some of them are expensive but they have a TON of really nice sale dresses ... thats where I have bought mine the last 2 years ...
They ship fast too

Ashley828 --- 13 years ago -

This looks too much like a wedding dress and I really wouldn't recommend it. It's cute on you but just not for this event. But everyone else has told you the same thing and you are still trying to justify wearing it so do what makes you happy I guess
