Maybe he saved it up?

But that does suck if its true but the mom should have checked.

Maybe he's smart enough at his age to know money value, I know at five I wasn't lol
I didn't even start getting allowance until I was 10 :(

Poor kid. I'd like to smack her

I understand that, I'm just saying $10 a week for a 5-year-old is BALLING lol

I think she meant that maybe he doesn't get $10/week, but saved up over the weeks to buy himself a $10 tv.

I feel terrible for the kid, but it was a flat screen tv. If there were no problems with it, did the mom really think it would be selling for $10?

Am I the only one who is wondering why a 5 year old is buying a TV in the first place???

x2

The mom was the dummy for not checking the tv out before handing over the money. Sure the seller is a POS but doesn't absolve the mother from her part.

I don't think it's that weird. When I was a young kid I wanted a tv for my bedroom sooo bad. But my mom wouldn't let us have tvs in the bedroom :( A 5 year old probably thinks what a cool thing it would be to be able to afford a tv (like grown ups can) and to have one in his room

My name is Liz and i am from oceanside lmao but i did not sell a tv and thats not my number. My friend called me and asked how in the world could I do that. then i get on here and see what its all about. I had no clue why I was getting blamed. Just think its funny how she gave all the Liz's in Oceanside a bad name

no offense, but is your friend a few fries short of a happy meal? lol! Who assumes that there's only one "liz" in the whole community? :P

My daughter is almost 5...and she knows the value of money....heck I think she has like 60.00 in cash she has saved from grandparents...most of it is 1's and 5's....and she has a tv in her room....

I think Yes the mother should have checked...but at the same time...I feel for the little boy...I know when my daughter does buy somthing with her money she is proud as heck and so happy with herself....so I can just imagine how the little boy feels! :/
