This is the second/third time its happen to me (twice today). I set up a time to go buy some clothes from this lady and when I get to her house, she isnt even home. Like seriously? Not even an email or a text message saying that something came up! Then she text me and said that she would drop them off at my house. She brought it over, I gave her the money (without looking at the stuff), when I closed the door I started to look at everything and half of it had stains on it! or holes! THen when I contacted her to get my money back, she said that bascially since she lowered her price for me that thats what I get. Like she was justifying it! Why would I buy stained clothes!! I did get my money back and it was stupid for me to not check the items first but I just can't believe that someone would do that. THEN I told a women that I would hold some clothes for her, she wanted to come look at them. At the time she was suppose to come, she was a no show. No phone call, text or email. So after a couple hours I decided to put them back up. Its not my job to keep contacting you seeing if you still want to buy them if you're a no show, no contact. So she writes me and gets mad at me because I told her I would hold them. Its not a hold on them until you feel like showing up. Ugh. maybe I was in the wrong but I think its so inconsiderate that no one calls or texts you when you're waiting or meeting them. ok rant done. sorry it was long.. oh and now I'm not holding anything anymore. or buying something without looking at all of it first.

Go 'head, girl. Punch 'em in the face.

KnightRider --- 13 years ago -

haha thanks :)

JAZZ --- 13 years ago -

Yeah happens to me ALL THE TIME. I absolutely hate changing my plans to make sure that I am home just for someone else to not show up.

What bothers me even MORE is when I have something for sale maybe 10.00 or less and still get "I don't have that much money will you take 5?" REALLY..It's already cheap as hellz and still you want to make it cheaper. My favorite one was when my 75.00 for sell ball gown got an e-mail asking "will you take 10?" hahaha LMAO.

KnightRider --- 13 years ago -

exactly. i hate waiting around for people. I'm a planner and I like having my day planned out. I have things to do and a son's schedule I have to work around. And I tripple check to make sure everything is set to go. Its not my fault that you didn't contact me.

or when they say that $2 for a baby outfit is too much for USED! like really? I'm pretty sure a whole outfit is way more than that.

It surprises me how a lot of people just don't have common courtesy.

For example, I was going to buy a pair of these cowboy boots from this woman and prior to her meeting up with me in del mar, I asked her if it was a true size 6 because a lot of cowboy boots fit larger than what the size says. She says it's a true size 6. We meet up and alas, it is too big. I apologized to her and thanked her for her time and she had the audacity to roll her eyes, give me the snarkiest look, stomp away to her car, and literally SCREECHES away. I wanted to punch her face off of her 4'5ft body.

you guys should just buy on ebay!

I've been on an ebay trip lately. lol

LilyB --- 13 years ago -

Totally get where you're coming from. I hate buying or selling of PYS. Yeah there are some people out there that are great and have no problems whatsoever, but then you have the others lacking courtesy/common sense.

I tried buying something from someone on base about a month ago. Keep in mind I live in San Marcos, so it was totally out of my way to go there, but I thought worth it. I get there at the time we both agreed on and no one answers the door, or answers the phone. I said eff it and went home and emailed her kindly (had to rewrite it a few times, but it was pleasant), yet no response. 2 days later she reposts the same item using capitals "I'm tired of all the flakes, I need this gone!" WTH, Seriously?

Exactly! If you are THAT tight on money then you shouldn't be trying to buy stuff. I have sold stuff that were BRAND NEW and would mark them down $20-30 less than what I bought them for (depending on item) and I would still get the-- "Will you take $5 or $10?" Seriously! Firm means firm people.

LOVE Ebay! :)

La Chickees --- 13 years ago -

Once i went to buy an item from some lady on the other side of base and she wasnt home than i saw the item on pys & it was sold i was pissed i never buy from there anymore ,unless im meeting someone half ways .

Hollyer Than Thou --- 13 years ago -

I have better luck on CL. People don't lowball me on there either.

I know right! This other lady I went to go meet with her today as well (after I stopped by the rude lady's house first) and she didn't answer the door either. I get home and send them both an email to call me. She emails me apologizing because she fell asleep while her son was sleeping. I totally know the feeling and I found out she was prego, so I wasn't so mad. But she told me to come on by and I did, then she tried to give me a couple bucks because I had to drive back out there. I thought it was really sweet and I told her that I couldn't take it but it was really sweet. It really made my day better, up until I found out the first lady sold me crappy clothes. There are some good people out there but with that, there are definitely the bad.

I have also had my bad things with ebay. I guess it is for everything you buy used it comes with it's bad points. I bought and paid for through paypal a 20.00 belt for my son. A toddler belt. I never received it. I reported it and did all that I could through Ebay and continued to e-mail the seller. In the end No belt, and No money :(

that sucks but just a tip for future reference: Check out what score the seller has first. I don't buy anything from sellers with less than 500. Also, check the score out and see how many negative comments they have.

It helps cut back on shady ebay sellers.

In the end No belt, and No money :(

That's why I ALWAYS pay via paypal with Ebay. They helped me get money back one time when I never received a product.

Ebay has buyer protection now. SO no worries!

MajorDicksWife --- 13 years ago -

Sounds like the same kind of trouble I have had with craigslist. :( Its sad that there are so many dishonest people.

Friday_Night_Lights* --- 13 years ago -

Thats why you make sure and check the stuff you are buying before you buy it. I dont care if I take my time examining each piece of clothing and I am not afraid to tell someone no.

La Chickees --- 13 years ago -

I hate when your intrested in an item and you email the person a million times & you never get a responce
