I got a reply when I asked about the post WHATEVER saying military families can get whatever they need for free. the person doesn't even explain how she does it. I'm a little skeptic. Has anyone else replied to her? Do you really get what you need? She asked me for a list and I gave one to her...she didn't even ask for an address right away or a phone number, just that she has what I need and will let me know when it can be delivered. Seriously? Completely free?? What's the down side?

I don't know if she uses the same system as the one we did, but there are alot of churches and organizations that help military families. When we had my MIL move in with us (breast cancer) a church that sponsored my husband's unit gave us a complete bedroom set for free. If you don't mind a little bit of a move, I can give you their email and contact info. Alot of people have donated items for military member. Only problem is that they are in Orange county, so it may be a move for you.

Hopefully it's just for people truly in need and not just wanting free stuff. Leigh your case definitely sounds like a need but I know that's not normally the case with a lot of people that take advantage, unfortunately.

That's what I figured. When I asked her if they were an overstock warehouse or with ASYMCA, she said they were a bunch of people wanting to help military families. I knew there were some successful business owners that do that just for nothing and I'm very grateful. I don't want to appear needy but the condition of our "junk" is really putting my kids' health on the line. Moldy, broken, GLASS! Anyway, I am being careful, just wanted to know if anyone knew exactly who I was dealing with because she said she had everything I needed and just had to get it ready to deliver.
