my husband recently got orders to pendleton, we have to be moved in by the end of october. i am about to send all the final paperwork in, i just had a few housing questions, hopefully i can get some imput.
his aim was for stuart mesa or wire mountain. he is an E4. he picked these places because they will be close to his shop on the west side. we definitely want lincoln housing. it is just me and him and our dog. i would really prefer a 2 bedroom with a fenced yard, my dog is very active, i walk her daily but currently have a very very large fenced yard in NC. i would feel awful if it came down to not having a yard for her.
please if you have any suggestions feel free to comment, even small things will help. i just want to make sure we make the best fitting choice for my family. im going to call the lincoln housing office tomorrow again tomorrow, last time they were not much of a help at all and i found a lot of recently posted contradicting facts on this forum.

Which Wire Mountain are you looking at? 1 & 2 just have fenced patios, but 3 has a fenced yard. I don't know about Stuart Mesa. There are dog parks on base, though. 

I called the housing office it was a nightmare trying to find someone that actually knew what they were talking about....we are signed up for Santa margarita cause they have the largest fenced yards apparently, and that's all I really care out haha my dog is my child. Thanks though! I think I'm going to make another post asking how people like Santa margarita. 

Santa Margarita only has a tiny little square of grass for a "back yard". Wire Mt 3 have a hugeeee backyard. most all of stuart mesa have no yards at all. 

Wm3 has the BEST yards on base. Homes are all one story old houses with one car garage. Not sure if they will let you move there with no kids though. 

Yea we ony rate a 2 bedroom so all the wire mtns are out of the queation, we were hoping for wm3 maybe we will switch there after I pop one out lol 

We live in WM3 and have no children. They run specials for this housing area all the time for people to move in that only rate a 2 bedroom. look on the hot sheet I am pretty sure they are running that special right now.

WM3 with no kids would be perfect. We lived there when it was e6 & up and had two kids. That got a little cramped. But with no kids you'd have plenty of room. 

My husbands an e4 we rate a 2bedro and when I called housing they said any of the wire mountains were out of the question. Probably dosnt mention that deal because we aren't moving until the end of October. Thank you though 

oh weird. It is really worth it for the yard. It might be that you have to move in during the same month that the promotion is being run. But they run it pretty frequently. We were signed up for Santa Margarita and then when they ran this special we switched really fast and move right in to WM3.
