Today, March 7 around 2 pm my husband was involved in a hit and run on Vandegrift and Wire Mountain rd. I am asking everyone that lives and works on camp Pendleton to keep their eyes out for a blue Chevy Silverado extended cab that has been lifted. This person was making an illegal traffic violation causing my husband to hit them. With this person fleeing the scene we will be left to pay for all the damage to our pick-up truck. We are praying for justice and we are asking for all of you to keep your eyes open for this vehicle. Please and thank you in advance. 

People are jerks. I guess your hubs wasn't able to get a tag number before they took off? Sorry you're left with the expense...hope you can track this guy down. 

That sucks. You'd think a lifted blue chevy would narrow it down. Can't be as many as say accords etc. Good luck with your search. How much is your car insurance deductible? You should only have to pay that not all the damage but I'm sure that's what you meant, Anyway hope you guys find the person. 

If your husband hit the other driver, unless there is a police report stating the other driver violated a traffic law, you're going to be on the hook for the deductible and won't be able to recover from the other driver's insurance, if you ever find them. 

Thanks for the insurance advice but I really posted about this to have people pass the word and seek out the blue lifted Chevy Silverado that caused this wreck to happen and put my husband in balboa hospital. There is a police report with witnesses but pmo has still not found the driver nor the truck. Please pass the details around amongst your friends. 

I need to add that the truck will have damage on it's backend. 

Damn it must have been a bad accident to put your husband in Balboa.
You'd have better luck posting flyers in the neighborhoods on base. no one really reads this site much.
