Anybody know of any dog adoption events going on this weekend around Oceanside? 

You could call your local petco/petsmart and ask if they are having pet adoption events. You could go to the base shelter or the one off base... If you are looking to adopt. 

I have a free dog that you can have. He showed up at my door. He has no microchip or tags, and no one responded to my ad on PYS. He's sweet, but my other dog doesn't like male dogs.

Have you ever thought, maybe the person who lost their dog doesn't know about PYS?

You should turn the dog over to the nearest shelter instead of giving away a dog that isn't even yours.

Thanks for your input. The dog appears to be abandoned. He was very skinny, dirty, and scraped up when he came to my fence. I have called the local shelters,posted on PYS, and posted flyers in my neighborhood and the nearby neighborhoods. I am merely taking care of him temporarily. It has been a few days, and no owner has stepped forward. He is eating, playful, and looks much healthier than when he came here.

I don't understand why people don't get their dogs chipped.
