Hi Ladies, I need some help. My daughter is turning 6 in December and I need some ideas for her birthday party. My husband deployed last month and I also had a baby last month too. So needless to say as much as I try she hasnt been getting the attention like she used to. So I want to do something special for her and maybe 2-3 of her friends. I'm looking at spending around $500(not inculding gifts). I know that seems ridiculous because I would never under any other circumstance spend that much on her birthday. But she has had some major changes in her life and I really want it to be special. I have been putting money away for months because I was planning on doing something nice. I was looking into a day at Disneyland and taking the girls to the bibbidy bobbidy boutique to get hair, make up and their nails done. Any suggestions on what else I can do? Thanks in Advance

no clue bc never would I ever spend that kind of money on a birthday, not including gifts. However if you feel so inclined to do so, I think the makeover day would be a lot of fun for a 6 yearold and her friends.

I have a 6 year old girl myself. Disneyland is a good idea (I got my husband, my girls and I annual passes) esp with major changes happening (exact reason why I got us passes). You had mentioned you just had a baby last month. Congrats!! I'd keep in mind 3 little girls at Disneyland and a newborn be prepared for a WHOLE lot of excitement.

If you decide to do Disneyland maybe you can include a breakfast with Minnie, Mickey & Friends :) Or to stick with "Princesses" in Disneyland California Adventure there's Ariels Grotto. If you plan correctly during your meal the Princesses will come to your table to meet and greet. We did this last month I believe its $30/kid and $40/adult. Don't qoute me on price but I believe thats about what we paid per person. Our total bill was about $190 for 2 adults and 2 children. Grant it we added other things that weren't included in the set price also the check includes gratuity.

You could take them to the American girl store, where they design their own dolls, Or take them on one of those mini dinner cruise ships that they have in San diego, and everyone could get all dressed up like grown ups, and go on the cruise, Or maybe they will have a concert or something coming up. I know the Fresh beat band, and the i-carly girl do concerts in SD, or maybe even a "one direction" concert or whoever they like.

You could take her to the Rain Forest Cafe then go shopping at the mall there.

We had tickets we posted for free on PYS a few weeks ago wish you would of seen them. Everyone wanted us to drive from Fallbrook to the other side of base to give them away so they were pretty much a waste. My girls got really sick and couldn't go. I'm planning to go to the one in Jan.
