I've already made my decision, and my family thinks I'm crazy, but I'm moving to Boston to pursue a Masters. I'm leaving behind family, boyfriend, friends, job, etc. The school I'll be attending offered me a position so I wont be SOL, but with my family and boyfriend doubting me, I'm starting to doubt my decision. Nobody understands why I am doing this, why I NEED to get my Masters or why I should even bother getting it.

I'm not crazy right?

Thanks TweedleDee2. I could understand their concerns if I was getting a Masters in Underwater Basket Weaving but I'm not. I could also understand if I were moving there for no reason, but again, I'm not. 

If it was me then I would go to Boston. For those who can't support your decision, well it's your life not theirs. Friends and boyfriends come and go. As for your family they should be supportive of you because your getting your Master's for crying out loud. Even people that have a Bachelors it's still extremely competitive for them to find a good job. Remember it's your life not theirs. They need to think about the long term benefits of this.
