Hi. My husband deployed last year and came back a few weeks ago. I moved myself and my kids back to our home of record on our own dime because one of our children was extremely ill. I needed to be close to family to help care for the other children during an extended admission into a childrens hospital to get him well. My husband is doing a PCA into a B billet on Camp Pendleton. We have 2 EFMP kids. Were trying to figure out how to get myself and our kids moved back without having to pay. Were told that only PCS moves are paid for as we weren't "forced" to move back home. Has anyone gone through this? Anyone gotten command or EFMP or any other kind of sponsorship for a move?? Anything helps, thanks.

There are options available via private grant programs. You should talk with your FRO to see if they will make a referral to the Semper Fi Fund or Operation Homefront.
