That I had to read them to a subordinate. Didn't say it was a big deal. Just wish a month, just one, would go by where Marines wouldn't get in trouble. So far since Christmas I've had two Marines get in trouble. One, family related. This one work related.

They're always getting into trouble. I am sure my husband wishes he didn't have to yell at a Marine for walking and talking on his cell (last night at the PX some Marine was talking ON SPEAKERPHONE to a girl while walking, I think he thought the speakerphone thing made it ok).
I know for a fact my husband gets sick of having to babysit Marines who are well over the babysitting age. I actually laughed today. I took my husband lunch and asked why a huge group of Marines had PX bags and he said the combat instructors have to babysit them even to get hygiene stuff.

As much as there are rules for anal sex, I think the rules for talking on a cell and walking are lame. I'm fairly certain cells aren't allowed or working in the country. Some of these rules are extremely outdated.

Agreed but they're rules. I actually asked my husband why he wasn't allowed to walk and talk and he said it's because they look unprofessional. He doesn't think they make sense anymore but you will never catch him with his hands in his pockets or holding my hand in uniform.

In the broad scheme of things, hands in pockets and talking and walking are not big deals. I've never seen the reasoning behind making a big deal of that crap; Rules or not. I guess I wasn't in long enough to turn into a tool. And no one at my bn cared soooo yep. 

Maybe if more NCO'S turned into tools and gave them crap for the little stuff then some of these younger Marines would stop trying to get away with the major crap. That's the reason 90% of the Marines we know are getting out of the corp. There is no more accountability!

When I was a Lcpl back in the day, I had to police call the entire rifle range after throwing the shell from my hard boiled egg into the woods.

There's plenty of accountability. It doesn't take being a rule Nazi to be a good leader and I aspired to be a good leader, not a tool.

No. My husband looks professional while in uniform at all times because he respects the Marine Corps.
Just because he doesn't agree with it, doesn't mean he won't follow. It's what he signed up for and he could think putting on his cover while outdoors is dumb but he will do it because it's a rule.
You will never catch my husband allowing a fellow Marine to disrespect the rules. It may make him a rule Nazi but it does not make him a tool.
