Body Piercing by Tracy. 1317 Coast Hwy. It is right by Surf Bowl. My navel ring came out during the week that I had the flu. Before I realized it the hole had begun to close. I went there and it was super clean and well lit. They stretched the hole and didn't even charge me for it.
I recently went to piercings by Tracy and that place sucked. They don't even let you choose your own jewelry (I guess so you have to come back when it heals and buy something else) and she effed my piercing up the first time, had to do it again (which sucked) and now I've got to go back and re do it because the piercing is too shallow. She had a hard time closing the ring and dropped the ball like 3 times. I had way higher expectations after seeing the good reviews. Maybe mine was an isolated event, but I will definitely be going to frontline or body temple in the future.
Momzilla- Maybe an isolated event but as someone who has 5 piercings from a needle I wanted to chime in a bit.
*You don't get to pick your jewelry because they give you the size needed incase of swelling. I wasn't thrilled when I've gotten horseshoe rings or CBRs (ring jewelry) but I just changed them out when the swelling went down.
*As for the piercing being too shallow it is possible your body is rejecting the piercing and it is appearing too shallow.
I've never been to that studio so I don't know but those are just my experiences with piercings.
Lol Drama, I have been pierced about 20 times myself so I'm a little familiar with the procedure :-) based off of the service I am used to getting, and what I got there I wouldn't recommend it. It certainly may have been an off day for her when she did my tragus, but it seemed as if she was an apprentice or really inexperienced. The not picking the jewelry I have never come across, yes you typically get a larger ring or longer rod for a disc back, but crap they didnt even have colored balls for rings!
