has anyone gotten one in the mail? from the intersection cameras here in the area. my dad received the letter in mail with the photos since our truck is under his name, but we have it up here & at the time the violation was made my husbands buddy was with us & dropped us off at sprouts so hes the one who didn't stop at the red light! so who's info do i write on the info we have to input to mail back? im assuming my husbands buddy?? idk if i make any sense..

well I would assume that since it's your husbands car and in his name then that's one of those "too bad so sad" situations....you shouldn't have let him drive your car. If he's a good friend he should pay your husband for the ticket though. 

Sorry, I see now that it's in your dads name. I dunno....i would think your dad would have to pay it but then again he wasn't the one driving...lol....now after thinking about it i'm not sure. Good luck and hopefully someone responds that knows how this works =0)

I got a right turn on red ticket last year in my husbands car, he is the title holder, and my name is 2nd..it is clearly my picture HOWEVER it was not a ticket, it was almost like a snitch form, they wanted me to tell them who was driving, i googled everything about this ticket and if it does not have the name of the court, a date and an amount due it is not an official ticket...I never responded, and nothing happend to the husband, myself, our insurance or our registration because technically HE wasnt driving the car. Hope this makes sense. 

My husband just got one in riverside and he has to appear, we watched the video and we are clearly going thru an oragne light not red. So he's fighting it. We called and they said you eiether need to pay it or appear. 

That sucks. I'm not sure how that would work. I would think whoever has the vehicle in their name would have to pay. In that case I would send your dad the money to cover it and try and get your husbands buddy to pay you back since he did it.

The week we moved here *3 years ago* We turned right on red and the camera went off. We've yet to get a ticket in the mail for it though so I have no idea what happened to it.

yeah, there isnt an amount court date or anything like that it just has 4 photos & says to send the form back with the info filled out & a cop of the drivers ID. 

You have to put the guy who was driving it. It usually has a place on the form for "not me But here's who it is driving" part

I guess better make sure it was his buddy, cause he might argue it wasn't him. 

I would think it's the driver's responsibility. I mean if you car was involved in a accident and someone else was driving it you wouldn't be liable...

I, unfortunately, got one when I was 18. I was driving my friends car, and I ended up paying the 350+ ticket. Hopefully your husbands friend pays too!

If it's a moving violation, and you don't say who was driving, won't the points go on your father's license?

It's not just the payment of the ticket, but the points and the possibility of increased insurance premiums. 

The driver's info should be filled in on the form you get and they are responsible for paying it. At my work our work vehicles are obviously registered to the company but whenever an employee gets a red light ticket driving, the driver is always responsible for paying, not the company. Typically the pics are at least clear enough to tell who was driving too so they can't really argue it wasn't them.
