Just to let you know, now till the end of the year the horrible Lancaster Animal Shelter, is doing free adoptions for military families. I am not a fan of the way the shelter treats their animals, but if you look on their website you will find tons of dogs that need homes. 

Kern County Animal Shelter also has TONS of puppies for adoption. Please think about adopting from a shelter. These poor pups dont are great puppies and dont deserve the death that is bound to come to them in the high kill shelters.
