Mix 1 Tbsp Baking soda with 1 Tsp Peroxide and brush your teeth with it...that is it! It tastes like doodie, but I just rinsed my mouth out with mouth wash right after so it wasn't too bad.
This is my teeth before and after with just ONE brushing. *don"t be dissing on my teeth, I know they be funky, lol*

I just quit smoking a couple of weeks ago, so this really helped my teeth look a hole heck of a lot better. I already had the baking soda and peroxide, so it was free instead of however much those white strips are.

The front tooth on the left in that photo is 3/4 of the way fake (my tooth broke off after my face was smashed into the tv as a child) and they used a weird greyish toned color piece. It made my smile look worse, but the whitening trick seemed to disguise it pretty good actually

Crest has toothpaste with peroxide and baking soda mint flavor. I purchased it at the commissary and it works well! 

I asked my dentist about this a while back ...it does work but it is really bad for your teeth :(

That's an old remedy been around a while. I use baking soda from the box almost every time and the peroxide every now and then. Baking soda comes in so many toothpastes that you buy already.

I've been doing this since I was a teenager! Just be careful it can make your gums sensitive for a few hours. I also only do it every few months though.

I was thinking the same thing...Arm and Hammer has a toothpaste with similar ingredients that say 'recommended by dentists'. What gives? 

I used to bleach my teeth with strips so much that my enamel isnt so great. When i try to use them now My teeth hurt so bad! So i was afraid to try this peroxide and baking soda.
I did it right before the ball. It made my teeth whiter and it didnt hurt at all! Ill def try it again. 

my husband did his for the ball too...he needed it badly. His looked great 

I have my degree in dental hygiene and yes, peroxide is bad for your gums. Baking soda is also bad. The reason the boxes of toothpaste on them say "recommended by dentist" is because of the fluoride in the toothpaste and no other reason. Companies make these various toothpaste because that's what they know will sell. Your best bet is to use regular toothpaste (Crest ProHealth or Colgate Total) and whitening strips on occasion. 

I just finished. It didn't hurt at all, but it didn't exactly make my teeth much whiter. My teeth weren't all that bad to begin with, maybe that's why I didn't notice much of a result.
