So I am leaving on tuesday and my husband is deploying soon I am trying to see if anyone can recommend a good storage place to store all our stuff, and a good place to store his car and also a good company to ship me the other car to TX I have read some threads here but just wanted to get more opinions. Thank you 

We used the storage place on base **this is our 2nd time, no complaints**. But, if there are a lot of units deploying sometimes it's hard to get a storage bin. I was told to call on the first of the month, because a lot of people return them at that time. My husband also used the TMO lot to store his truck. I drove back to my home state for this deployment so I can't help you on shiping a car lol. 

Ok great thanks so much we are planning in getting a storage unit on base and storing the car outside base or maybe a friend can keep it for us

Called base storage and got on the waiting list see what happens the guy was super nice and I am asking ex co workers to see if I can store the car at their home lol to save $ lol

Anyone ship their car what company did you use I am looking for quotes and dont want to get ripped off

we used A-1 storage in Oceanside for our storage. They often have specials, and it worked out that the unit we got ended up being cheaper than one on base of an equivalent size.

We stored my husband's car on base in the deployed lot for $10/month, but be wary of that because they have lots of rodent problems and mice like to get into the hood and chew the wires. His car (thank goodness) ended up being fine when I picked it up 6 months later. We stored my car at Extra Space Storage on N River Rd in Oceanside for $45/month. It's a nice, gated, paved lot. I bought a car cover and my car was great when I picked it back up.
