I hate AT&T. We had them for well over 10 years. Moved here and service was HORRIBLE. I had no choice but to switch providers. AT&T charged me a buttload of money for 2 phones that were still under contract.
I could never get the situation resolved even though I called them numerous times. In the end I was happy to pay the 200+ dollars to cut all ties with them.
It doesnt make sense to keep phones that have no service. They told me they "dont gaurentee their service areas". UGH!
I have never had any problems with their customer service...in fact I went over my minutes one Christmas and they wiped out a huge portion of the bill. They also give military a 15% discount off their bills.
I will never have anything At&t ever again. We had such bad customer service with our internet. We were always sent to someone with a language barrier and we would get transfered back and forth for over an hour every time we called.

Thats the way it started with us. Now we get specialists who say their going to look into it and call us back on Tues and they dont call until Wed. Then they say their going to call me Monday (last week) for me to go in and have my phone looked at and didnt call until Fri. They acted like I have nothing better to do than wait for them. I think im just going to pay the $200+ to just be done with them.

They sent us to "specialists" too only to continue to be transferred a million times. We would have calls with them that lasted almost 90 minutes. We finally told them to shove it and discontinued service with them.
If you get their military discount, they assign you to the "business" side of the house. Business customers always get treated MUCH better than regular customers. I noticed the change immediately when we got signed up.
My calls always get picked up within 2 minutes, I never have a "language barrier" issue, and problems are always solved cheerfully.
We had issues with fees they don't tell you about. We finally switch to sprint after 10 years and get way more options for much less. Been with sprint for a year and they are always helpfully and friendly.
OMG. Don't even get me started on them! I have wasted HOURS of my Life with them. Every call is a min. hour! I bought a new phone and it didn't work- the store turned me away and said to wait till after 30 days. It got replaced with 3 refurbished phones (all with issues) Finally got them to give me another model of phone-- got it on Tuesday, had a software issue when I Took it out of box. Called for almost 2 hrs to trouble shoot- Now I have to go to a store to get a replacement phone (cause it is hubs account and he has been in the field 2 weeks) . . .UGH!!! I have literally spent over 12 Hours on the phone the last month and a half with Freaking AT&T.. . and I do not have a working phone yet so I know I am not done :(
