So my days are REALLY long.. I get up at 5:30 to drive to school and I am in classes ALL day and go straight to work at the mall till 10pm... Well today I decided I would go through the drive-thru at McDonald's on my way to work.. I got a drink & some fries and ate them while I was driving.. Fries are pretty easy to eat obviously (no mess) so I didnt think it was a big deal.. Well a cop pulls up beside me while we are driving and gets on his damn bullhorn and says "MAM PUT DOWN THE FRIES... AT LEAST TILL YOU ARE HOME"
All the other drivers around me were staring.. it was SO loud!! :( haha
I didnt know driving and eating was illegal?! I didnt have any other time to eat. What a turd!
Eating while driving is disgusting. Not to mention it is extremely distracting to the driver as well. Oh man.. I was waiting for one of these comments... I was eating FRIES for heavens sake.. I wasnt distracted!
Were you on the freeway? Nope! Not even a busy main road!
thats funny - at least they didnt tell you to hand over the fries and no one gets hurt hahahahahahahha love it
LMD, a couple of days ago I was giving back an forth from here to LA and in LA I was running around doing errands and such. I never had the chance to stop and eat. So before I headed home I stopped and got French fries. Everytme I pulled up next to someone i tried to hide my fries, fearing that a cop would get on his louder speaker. LOL!!!! I felt guilty. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Anyone who says eating while driving is disgusting has never been busy.
There are weeks where I am lucky if I can shove something down my throat during a commute and wash it down with with high octane coffee.
There were a many times when I was a full time working mommy of two I had to eat on the run. I was out the door by 630am and home by 6-7pm most days. It wasn't a meal or something just a snack and a coffee or water.

Thank you! Not all of us have the leisure of lying on the couch eating bon-bons all day!
Okay, that last part was a joke, but anyone who has ever gone to college or had to commute for work has probably been in the situation where we either eat in the car or starve.
I have had to 'eat on the run' numerous times and I hate it. I do think it is disgusting: inevitably you drop something either on yourself or somewhere in the car. It feels rushed, hurried, and usually involves food that is not good for me. Ick. When you are so busy that that is the only option, it sucks. I have finally just opted for eating a nutrition bar or something while on the road. Not really a meal, but less chance of doofily spilling something on myself.
