The girl says this is a limited Edition Coach purse with matching wallet and her husband paid $900 for the purse and $200 for the wallet.

She wants to sell the purse for $300 and the wallet for $50-100. Do you think it's worth it?

My thinking is someone is half stupid, maybe whole but I willl say half to be safe. Who spends $900 on a purse? Last time I checked we are all common folk. Maybe if we got to Housewife status then we could shell out $900 for a purse. 

I think anyone who pays that much for a purse is just plain silly.

That said, I would ask her what the style number and name of the purse is so you could do your own research. I've seen SOME coach purses for up to $750 but never $900+

Maybe. I know my wife has some purses worth twice that plus the wallet to match. She works hard and likes the finer things in life. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

They do have purses for over $900, actually. I'd guess that one was only $400 max but it's not on the website so who knows.

Agreed. I think it's lame to speak poorly about someone just because they spend a lot of money on a purse. Some people spend a lot on cars, tvs etc... to each their own.

We're not all in the same financial situation. What may seem extravagant to one person may not be out of another person's budget.

my wife has a closet full of Coach bags... dude probably bought it in Japan, where they cost twice as much as they do here.

BTW, if you want a coach purse at a good price, watch for the sales at the main PX.. just dont get in front of my wife!!

This is more along the lines of my thinking.

I don't put a lot of stock in material things, but that may well be because, at this point in our lives I prefer to save for a rainy day.

My best friend is a label whore. I always pick on her for it but it doesn't mean I think she's a horrible person. She works hard, as does her husband and that is where she chooses to put her money.

I like it, but for 350 you can go buy a brand new coach purse. Maybe tell her your interested and than print the picture and go talk to someone at coach and ask them how much this purse goes for in the store brand new?..

i think its cute but i wouldnt buy it used either without going to the outlet stores. i also dont mind spending that kind of money on a purse. if you take good care of it then it lasts a long time and its kind of my "splurge". my husband gets electronics, i get shoes and purses. i can remember my dad buying my mom a $1500 chanel purse one year for christmas...thing was GORGEOUS! i dont spend that much. lol.

We bought it for 900, and the wallet was 199.00 we lowered it to 350 for all of it, im taking a huge loss, and i do love it, but husband is selling a bunch of his gear and stuff, I thought it was only fair for me to sell something i didnt use anymore, I love the wallet, and use it daily, but it has to be a set for some people... I didnt do anything wrong, so why do you all have to harp on it? i thought this site was a way for people to sell things to other people in the similar situation, I am a marine wife as well, obviously some of us are just much more rude than others... have a nice day, I am not selling the purse to this woman. 

Purses are not exactly my thing, but I know may people like the brand name purses. More power to them.

You seriously need to get a damn life. If you feel "bashed" because someone said you have an ugly purse, that's just ridiculous. "This woman" simply asked if the purse was worth it, is that wrong? Are you offended that she wanted to ask questions before handing you $350 cash?
