Hi All,

I am posting this on here because I know I can't possibly be the first milspouse to have a situation like this and I wanted to see if any of you had any input!

This is way to early to be dealing with all this but I recently found out I am pregnant with our first child! (yay!) I am currently living in MD while my husband is at an advanced MOS school in MO for 3 months. When his school is over, I will be returning back to Camp Pendleton with him, I will be about 20/21 weeks at that time...

My mom has gone cray cray and has been stuck on the idea of giving me a baby shower before I leave to go back to CA, I will only be about 18 weeks at this point and I feel like it would be pretty stupid to have a baby shower that early especially since I am waiting to find out the sex with my husband after he graduates from his course...and my other thought would be that I would have to mail all my gifts back since I will be driving back to CA w// my husband in my 4 door car with my two dogs! (no room!)

I guess we could fly back in July for a baby shower, but it seems like it would be such a waste to spend probably close to $1k on tickets to fly back to MD!

Anyone have any ideas? My mom is stressin' me out! Gah! I'm like, can't we just get through the first trimester, first?!

I know this is all pretty trivial, but I was just wondering if any of you ladies have experienced a situation similar to this and what you ended up doing.
