Hello! I was just wondering if anyone had taken their kids to the head start program here on base? I'm thinking about sending my son, just wanted to get other moms opinions. Thanks! 

I sent my daughter last year and it was great but funding was cut and they were full before the program even ended last year. Also, it is income based or if your child has a disability they are automatically qualified. I would check to see if they have room and if you qualify first before getting your heart set on it. 

my daughter has went 2 years and my younger went to the mommy and me program. I liked it for my older child, she needed to be more in a classroom setting, loved the teacher. some the assistants got to me here and there..the only reason I wouldn't put her back in, would be because maybe im just a horrible mother, but theres a lot of doctors notes and dentist and all types of paperwork that need to be turned in and if ur late, THEY HOUND U!!! like a child..i felt like I was going to the principle office everytime I walked in there. I had 2 kids at the time, 1 car and my husband ended up deploying, so it was difficult for me to drive all the way to the doc for 1 sheet of paper, since they wouldn't fax..but if ur on top of your game its a great program :) 

Lol yeah we had the same problem plus Angie the lady that hounds you isn't as knowledgable about some thins as she would like to be and she's rude. I don't think she realized she's rude but she really is. Overall it was worth it to us but I totally agree with what the previous poster said.
