We're living in Serra Mesa right now and thinking about moving off base but so far the hunt has been depressing because either the apartments that we like are too far away from base or expensive or don't allow pets or the ones that are affordable and allow pets and close by are just super ghetto or sketchy. Any suggestions for some good apartments that are pet friendly that are fairly close by? 

Do you need dogs or cats to be allowed or both? 

Just a small dog.
