I am wondering if anyone has gone on a marriage retreat around here? If so how was it, cost, and all that? My husband and I don't have a bad marriage but would like to do a retreat to become closer and reconnect. Thanks.

The ones the Chaplins have is free & it's a lot of fun...you don't have to have a bad marriage..there is something for everyone. They feed you constantly & the rooms were awesome!! 

I missed the sign up for that one sweetcheeks or would have tried to go. I am 9 months pregnant now, so we will probably have to put the retreat on hold for a few months but would still love any information. 

Are they religious? The CREDO retreats? My husband and I need one but I'm atheist and he's just not religious. 

Maleficent...I thought I was the only atheist spouse on Camp Pen! LOL! That's the only thing that's kept me from going on these CREDO things. I don't think they are OVERTLY evangelical or in-your-face religious, but it was my impression that they are spiritual, at the very least. 

That's my impression as well and we are NOT alone! Ha ha I need to find something before we kill each other but I need more practical stuff and none the give your marriage to god thing. 

We've been to the retreat put on by the San Diego VA. I would totally recommend them. It was free and we got a lot out of it. We don't have a bad marriage by any means but it's always great to learn new things IMO.
