My husband told me specifically not to talk to his command but I feel stuck. and responsible if I don't do anything.

So my husband's gunny forced my husband to not say things were wrong in their shop so they could go to the field 2 months ago and now that they are turning everything over so they can deploy in a week the command freaked out because the trucks weren't "deadlined" and my husband told them what happened. Well the gunny was supposed to be completely moved out of the unit so there would be no retaliation for the people coming forward but he has already attacked one cpl(still without getting in trouble) and said he had "pipes picked out" for my husband and his sergeant once they deploy. They don't want to tell anyone and just deal with it if he tries something but it's clear he's already violent about it and now I fear even more for my husband deploying and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do? I know I know I shouldn't be fighting my husband's battles, however, I'm pregnant and would like the father of my child to not be killed while he's deployed by another marine. Can I talk to my FRO about it? I don't want him to get in trouble even more when he did the right thing but them all hiding it is not smart.

No. Your husband needs to balls up and say something. My husband had a very similar issue with his unit long ago and I cant go into detail but they all wrote statements, the guy was detained for the duration of the deployment and kicked out of the MC. HE needs to say something. And anyone else that knows anything or heard the gunny say it. Have them all write statements for NCIS and the command and approach it uniformly.

Thats exactly the problem because they won't tell anyone. They said they "want to handle it how they want to handle it" which is going to get someone killed.

Diet I would say something to someone immediately. The FRO should report that instance straight to the Commanding Officer. If they don't take action contact your congressman. I just retired and have had Marines just snap on deployment. The Gunny needs some major help, and you shouldn't be worried about that type of stuff during a pregnancy. Congrats and goodluck

Something definitely needs to be said. The Marine Corps needs to weed out these dickwads clogging up the pipe lines for actual legitimate Marines who care about their men instead of paychecks.

Yeah I guess I have to agree that a last resort would be to talk to a FRO. *I* dont think I could ever do that but something obviously needs to be done. :/
