If you're an Iowa resident read on: My husband went to H&R Block today to amend our 2011 & 2012 tax returns to reclaim our state tax money. H&R Block didn't know about the change until we brought it up two weeks ago; apparently the government websites don't update too often. Iowa military tax exemption started 2011 January 1st.
