Crazy how we dont rate air conditioning and are having our utility usage tracked but maitenance does not feel the need to turn lights and fans off in all of these empty homes on base. I have no concern for occupied homes or unplugging appliances in the vacant homes but dont u think the dod has better ways to spend tax dollars than paying ridiculous power bills for homes nobody is living in? These maitenance guys are great but if you see a home where this is occuring... Notify lincoln and remind them that the goverment has better ways to spend our tax dollars before dod catches on and makes current residents of occupied homes pick up the cost, our spouses are underpaid enough as it is... Thanks :) 

They may be doing it to help paint dry or so te house doesn't get vandalized. 

There is a house that has been vacant for almost two months right next to me. Last week a cleaning lady went in and I noticed EVERY LIGHT WAS ON. I waited a few days to see if they went back and today I finally called and told them that it would be nice for them to turn them off so it won't come out of our pocket. Within 20 mins they turned all of them off and closed all the blinds lol
