I loved my chi til i forgot it in some hotel in san diego lol

I love my CHI.

Maleficent --- 12 years ago -

Chi is seriously worth the money. I have used them but I dont own one because I just can't bring myself to do it since I dont flat iron my hair enough to justify the cost. But seriously it's worth every single penny. And if it breaks they replace them or help fix them etc.

I prefer the Babylis. Its amazing and about $60 less than CHI.

Babylis changed my life! LOVE it!

CHI or HAI. You get what you pay for!

bigmamaperry --- 12 years ago -

my mom is a hair stylist and she has always used a chi......and she still uses it to this day even though she is retired from doing hair now

BellaLaVie --- 12 years ago -

I use Paul Mitchell's. Kinda pricey, though.

CHI!

AnonyMISS --- 12 years ago -

My sister is an Aveda runway hair stylist. Do NOT buy CHI, they are way too hot! Make sure to find one with ceramic plates, NOT METAL PLATES or CERAMIC COVERED PLATES (CHI) they WILL burn your hair!!! Make sure the plates are fully ceramic or titanium and make sure it has adjustable heat setting! You should never use your flat iron over 300 degrees unless you have ethnic hair. Some good brands are Croc, FHI. They are expensive, but if you care about your hair, they are worth the money!

BellaLaVie --- 12 years ago -

With the above being said - I had a chi for 3 years before it died and my hair was never 'burnt' and always felt great. Just went with a Paul Mitchell afterward bc of all the "fake" chi's out there. Both are good flat irons. I have thin hair as well, so it only takes one time going through my hair. If you do it over & over, I could see the possibility of it being 'burned'. Regardless, it's 300-400 degree heat on your hair - it's damaging any way you do it.

I like my Fahrenheit 450 a lot. Be sure to check places like TJ Maxx or Marshall's. That's where I find mine (and they also had CHI's) and it was a fraction of the cost.
