BAHAHAHAHAHAH - you definitely hit the JACKPOT asking military spouses to star in a show about divorce.

I Googled them to see if it was legit. It is, but they're looking for couples in their late 20s to early 40s and don't want child custody issues. That's going to eliminate a LOT of people. Oh yeah, and you have to have been married in CA in the last nine years.

That cuts out a ton of possibles. Too bad it wasn't like "You have to have been married anywhere in the country for at least 60 days" ha ha.

Hi guys!

I know it says late 20's early 40's... but we are actually open to all ages!

You do need to be married in CA, and the number of years doesn't really matter. :)

If you know someone who could use some help, let me know!

I don't understand why anyone would want to air their divorce on TV.

Pretty much because they are attention whores and want the world to see how they are the victim.

I'd much rather see a tv show based upon couples who have been married 50+ years sharing their struggles, and ultimate triumphs, to what brought them to today. :)

What a terrible idea for a TV show. I'm kind of appalled that you are specifically seeking out military families for it too by posting on this site. Oh well, what do I know.

As an attorney, I highly recommend anyone thinking about contacting this individual to hire independent counsel beforehand. As a military spouse, I agree 100% with "accountnickname."

LawDog --- 12 years ago -

And, I agree with "Momma2Fur" as well.

Maleficent --- 12 years ago -

It was all over Craigslist too. My husband is selling a TV and they sent him this email.

What is odd to me is that these people post casting stuff on here ALL the time. Has anyone ever seen anything come of the things they are trying to "cast."

I know I never have, WASTE of time for anyone to even apply!

Donny --- 12 years ago -

I don't see how this show has any chance at being successful.

Uncontested divorces are very inexpensive and through base legal are 100% free for the military.

They've eliminated all couples going through contested divorces with kids that could probably use their financial backing/assistance by adding in the "no child custody" clause.

So their "target" couples are middle to upper class, with no children that have enough assets and property to be in a expensive, contested divorce...yet most of those people have enough cash to pay for real lawyers themselves and don't want their divorce to be a source of public knowledge on yet another reality tv show.

Good luck finding any military couples that fit that criteria!

I am terribly sorry if I offended anyone by posting on here. As you can imagine, this is a very hard show to cast, so we are just reaching out any way we can.

The show is coming from a place of help. It is not meant to break anyone up, just provide the resources necessary. Of course, if couples stay together, that is fantastic.

Again, I do apologize for posting on here. I thought if it didn't apply to someone then they would just ignore the post. So... please ignore or feel free to take down.

Take care, and be well.
