Husband and I are pondering getting a place off base...i was curious as to if there is a way to get BAH fronted to you for security deposit/first months rent for a new place...or would you have to rely on money set aside...since we wouldn't be getting a deposit back from base housing like you would a normal rental, and we haven't been collecting BAH, I'm just kind of curious...I would think that it would have to be all on your own, but you never know. If you have an answer, please share!

There is no way to get it fronted. You would have to rely on what you can set aside and save.
