I am considering becoming a licensed provider. Can you live off base and be an FCC provider? I currently work part time but child care is becoming an issue. Our first babysitter had to move and since she left the past 2 sitters haven't been dependable. Any information would be appreciated.

You can live off base and become a sub for the base~ But you can not live off base and be licensed for inhome provider through the FCC on base.

The licensing you would get to have inhome care off base is through the California State. Licensing on base is through the Marine Corps.

Ok thats what I though. I knew I had to do the state licensing. But was hoping to do base as well because I live so close and liked that they had monthly trainings.

The state will offer you classes to if you want to attend. My mom is state licensed and had been for 20 years.
