What is the drive like for you or hubby from temecula houses to San Mateo units? which way do you drive? thanks! 

Is San Mateo at the north end? If so then when my husband was at Staff Academy up there he was taking Ortega. I think it took him about an hour and fifteen when traffic was okay. 

yea that is up north. You can exit Chrisianitos, or go in through the San O gate...Is ortega hwy a nice hwy? thanks! 

I love driving on Ortega when I don't get stuck behind a slow-poke! It is only 2 lanes so difficult to pass and it is quite curvy. It has a reputation for being a dangerous road. 

hmmm. we'll have to drive it one day to see. its kinda like the fallbrook rd through the naval gate then hugh? 

It's curvier than that and the curves last for a much longer distance. Personally, I love driving it.
