Just curious on your costs/experience...any problems with texts messages not going through?

We have one in our house. We got the airwave for free and only pay a few bucks a month cause of taxes. With it we have full signal in our house, with out it we have none. They gave it to us for free because I was going to cancel our contract cause we couldnt get any signal.

thank you!!!! So have you had any problems with text messages not going through? I heard the EVO has some problems once installing the airave?

hmmmm....so they are telling me it's 129.99 and no monthly fee. I told them I would have to think about it since it costs so much...may give it a day or two and see if someone else will waive the cost. Seems like a lot to pay for something to "improve" service I already pay for.

Ya, they may have said that because you asked about it. I had just called to complain about not getting service at all and how my phone was worthless 90% of the time since I'm usually at my house. They offered the airave for free because I was so frustrated with the service. Just call and be a squeaky wheel. Lol. O and I have the EVO and my texting is done with the airave. It used to be so screwed up tho before.

I need to call for this thing I'm just waiting on a day where I'm in a bad mood lol. I have the Evo also so hopefully dont have problems

You just need to be firm that you and say you are going to cancel. Tell them your husband just got orders so it would be without penalty and they will waive the charge. But if you dont pay for it you are expected to return it when you are done with it. I wasnt told this when they said they would give it to me for free but I called asking about something and the agent told me that once we cancel sprint we have to send it back. I have the Epic, or Galaxy whatever you call it and it took a lot of work to get the machine to work right. It wouldnt let text go thro but they were able to fix it. I hate my phone but dont want to pay a lot to change it.

Yup. That's the way we did it. To top it off, we're "Premier" customers too. We didn't pay for $h!t. lol

We are too, I dont get it the whole Premier thing but oh well. If it gets us perks its all good.

Us too,(premier) my husband has had them for 8yrs, added me on two years ago. With him deploying soon I can't be dealing with these dropped calls. I'm going to threaten cancelling, our contracts are up in December anyways.

Just so you all know (in case you didn't) Sprint should be coming out with the iPhone next month.

Thanks everyone! Yeah I played it smart...I didn't ask for it. We just moved here at the beginning of August and I explained that since being here our service at home had been shotty at best. Technically since we just moved here and can't seem to get service at home we SHOULD be able to cancel without penalties. (Although I'm not holding my breathe on them not fighting me on that). Even when you put my address into the coverage map it shows dead spots and our physical address in a "fair" coverage zone. I've had sprint for over 6 years and am also a premier member with 3 phones so hopefully that will work in our favor. I basically told them I was going to think about it to give the impression I was going to cancel perhaps. Going to give it a couple days and complain again and say we are cancelling. Now that I know they have done it for people in the immediate area I know they are aware of this area have coverage area. Thanks again!!!
