Besides Amazon and Chegg?

And .... if it were you. Would you take a class at 8-1050 am in San Marcos when you live in Temecula, and then drive back out at 650 that night for another class? I was thinking of adding one in between, but three classes in one day scares me and....I really just don't want to leave my puppy that long.

vw09 --- 13 years ago -

that's going to be a lot of gas if you're driving there back and forth. I am on the same boat with the pup situation. Youre in a rough spot, but if I was in your situation, I would just not take it. I would hate to use so much gas and to leave my puppy all day long. I'd pass, but if you really need the class, then maybe find a pet sitter?

I decided that I am going to take the class in the morning, not fill the slot and drive back and then to the college again at 6:50 ;/ It's going to suck, but I don't want to be there from 8am-850 at night every tues and thurs. Not worth it. It's so weird what you are required to take for an AA in Arts. I am taking classes that I'd want to take for fun, but hey, I might as well enjoy it lol.

My first semester looks like this:

French II
Cinema
Photography (Film)
ENG

Next semester the advisor put me down to take:

GEOG
Intro to LIT
French III
and then my Math Class.

They told me there was no way I was going to get into the other english class that I am waitlisted for because they had so many students coming in the last two days asking the same question.

So...!

Can you take it online instead of in the morning? I use valore to rent books also bookrenter. I hate having to buy. I have a whole crap load i am trying to sell on amazon right now, renting is so much better.

They told me that there was no way, and I could try on Wednesday, but they highly doubt it and I would just be wasting my time.

And Julie - They aren't offering French online :(

Wow, how cool! We didn't have anything like this when I was in college. I had to buy all my books, which was always well over $500/quarter. Well, technically my dad bought them, but still..... lol

Yea ok you won't get in. I wouldn't even bother going because I doubt that many people won't show up. Can you get into any of the classes you were ganna take next semester? So u don't have such a big gap in between class times.

I was looking at Palomars website at the Used books, and they were still going to cost me well over $500...half was just my one french book because it has some stupid CD with it, lol. I could take a higher french, but it makes me nervous since it's been 3-4 years since I have even thought about what I was taught in Highschool hahah.

If anyone knows any others, I am all ears. The cheapest I've found my french book is $165, but my husband still almost passed out when i told him that. My response...WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF COLLEGE :)

Nope. All the ones I plan on taking next semester were the ones I was hoping to take this semester lol. They're all closed. :(

Do you have the isbn number? If so search compare prices for it. Also you can probably buy the cd online too. I had to buy a bundle for a class and all together it was 190. I found the cd's and book online and it was 90 total. Hope you can find what you are looking for.

No. I just searched on Palomars Bookstore website and it only gives me the titles of the books, some of them come up online, but others have multiples by the same author and so I am confused. I really hope I don't have to have them the first day of class. Because I start Tuesday and can't buy them until Wednesday :(

Does Palomar use webadvisor to register? If so then all the isbn numbers will be in there under "my text books".

I have no idea what you mean, so I will just link you to the bookstore, lol

julie --- 13 years ago -

Log in and see if there is a section for other services or anywhere where it says my books. If so then you might be able to see the exact books and the isbn numbers there.

julie --- 13 years ago -

Ahh ok i figured it out. Log in there, go to class search under academic records. Search the class you are in then hit textbook info it will take you to the book store and will show you the info as well as the books isbn number.
