We had a deposit today from DFAS CLEVELAND GBL is this our dity pay? We just sent in our paper work like 1-2 weeks ago and we really didn't get much back. Keep in mind we did do a partial dity and no advance pay, but we went from Pendleton to NC. Any experience with this? Do they not send you a receipt telling you what you got back and how they came up with the amount? It all seems odd to me. I don't know where they are getting their figures from? Hubby said he thinks they do two dity payouts? 

log into his MyPay. Under Travel Pay (or something close) it will show how much you will be getting for your Dity. We did a full dity from NC to here and our pay was around $7k.

I think its something like dislocation allowance or something like that. 

Dla is dislocation allowance. It was 1984 for us last year and it came in two days before the rest of our pay which was another 3600, but we did tmo and not dity. Our friends did a dity from va to here and their total was 10k. 

If I remember right we got around 2,000 last oct for a family of 4.

If you didn't request advance pay you'll get the dla first which is probably what that is, look up the dla rate on the military travel website (google it) and you'll get the rest a month to 3 months after your move for dity. If you requested advance pay they would pay you part up front to help you get there, then pay your dla, then the final payment would be the remainder of the total. 

If its less than what you were expecting for the move, its probably DLA. We did a fully DITY from 29 Palms to here and with DLA and what they paid us to move ourselves before taxes it was like 8000. But they tax the heck out of your disbursal for moving.

Yep! That's where ours showed up. Like YouReallyThinkSo ours took about 28 days to show up. It might be your DLA since you didn't ask to get anything up front.

Haha. Every move except eas moves rate dla, annd that gennerally shows up first. 

I am a disbursing Marine and dity and dla are two completely different payments. DITY moves come from Albany, Ga while your DLA comes from your travel claim. I just moved here and my DITY was 4500 and my travel claim was 6000. It all depends on where you are coming from and what you are claiming. I also did a full DITY move though. Your DITY move does not come in two payments though. Your DITY payment and Travel payment will be two separate payments though. Hopefully that helps a little. You should get your dity voucher with the breakdown in the mail shortly. If you go to google and type in dity move status go to the one that has the web url logcom. There you can check the status of your claim. Once you type in your last name and social it will bring up the amound paid to your claim and when your voucher was mailed out. Roughly a week from the mail out date you should receive your voucher. 

We did a Dity move for our personal items from VA-here and were only paid about 2500 5 mo ago. Call DMO (used to be TMO but has now changed to DMO) and ask them. They told us Alot has changed in the ast 8 mo as far as $$$ for Dity moves etc. People now get paid ALOT less to self move then what we were paid 3 years ago. Befor we PCD's we were told to expect about $8000 back from TMO for the Dity and we were told this in writting by TMO but once we got here they said NOPE thankfully we did not do the advance as we would have been hurting.
