Don't think that just because you didn't gain a single pound in the first 18 weeks that you won't gain 55 in the last half. Watch what you eat! I cut out soda completely but my husband was deployed so I ate out way too often.

DoctorDonna --- 14 years ago -

I did everything I normally did, only I cut down on soda and cut out cold cuts. (I don't drink or smoke)
I didn't work out at all, though when I was on the delivery table I wish I did.

While you are in your first two trimesters do as much core as you can (permitting your doctor is ok with it). in the third (if weather permits) swim! the weightlessness feels great and you can still get in a good cardio.

Yoga is great for relaxing and stretching.

yup i gained steadily throughout the whole thing! i was so jelouse of the people who say they didn't gain a thing during the first trimester. I felt sick if my stomach was empty.

southernheart88 --- 14 years ago -

I'm just so exhausted !!! I've been taking small steps to try to get out like I went on a walk yesterday I was so tired after I took a two hour nap how horrible !!!
This is my third with my other two I was extremely active went out for runs did laps in the pool I was never home . And now I'm having trouble even wanting to leave the house :(

Shonda --- 14 years ago -

So true!!! At 18 weeks I had gained 4 lbs... I'm 33 on Sunday and have gained 28 lol

LOL me too, by 20 week i had only gained 6lbs im now 30 weeks and have gained 20lbs total and none in the last 2 weeks!

grantsmommy --- 14 years ago -

i definitely recommend watching how much you eat i entered my daily intake on a calorie website and i was consuming sooo many calories. So now im making sure i don't ever go over 3000 i try to keep it at 2500 so i quite gaining like 4lbs a week!

*Do not eat for two. Never.
*Dont blame your pregnancy for your b*tchy attitude. You are not already a b*tch because of pregnancy 10 minutes after you pee on the stick.
*Stay hydrated.
*Eat fruits and veggies first. When youre full, eat crappy food. You'll eat less of the bad. When you puke, that's what will come up.
*Take your vitamins.
*Stop smoking! Seriously. If I see you smoking and know you're pregnant, I'm not responsible for my reaction. I dont care about your excuses.
*Go to your appointments.
*Take care of yourself. Let others drown if they choose. Stress is awful for lil babies.

Watch your diet. Eating for two is not true, you really only need an extra 300 calories a day (500 when BF) weight gain can creep up on you if your not careful.

Did anyone like Bio Oil? is it worth it? I already got stretch marks i just dont want them to spread, the ones i got early on are fading already so im happy!

but did you like the feeling of bio oil?

EastCoast --- 14 years ago -

I bought bio oil for my c-section scar. Honestly, I dont think it made much of a difference. I saw results when I started tanning again. Mederma has a stretch mark cream and multiple scar creams that Ive heard good things about.

PPCTMistyLa Diabla --- 14 years ago -

You cannot prevent stretch marks or correct them.

My best advice is dont take pregnancy advice on the PU.

lol well i really just want to oil/or a lotion for the itchiness/flakeyness that the stretchmarks make.
