Has anyone ever had their computer cleaned out and updated at best buy? I need to do it to mine so I can start school but am wondering how much it is...

It is totally expensive. Last I checked it was 250 dollars. I picked it up brought it home and it was still messed up. When I took it back they said "Oh, we must have forgot to fix it. It must have gotten over looked." I was mad!!!! They got an ear full. And they never gave me a discount or aplogized. I didn't even want to mess with them so I just left it alone.
You can probably find someone to do it for cheaper and get the same results. Hope this helped.

Geek Squad is overpriced imo...they quotted me $300 to back up my computer O.o yeah not so much. I can do that at home on my own. The only reason I took it in to them is bc my ex husband actually did one thing right & bought the extended protection on so when my laptop fell & cracked the screen they replaced it for free :) 

We just got ours And it was 200 for it but they cover that computer plus 2 more... And they give you a one year warranty. 

They just started that $200 online service thing (whatever its called) but it seems worth it to get it.

but you gotta watch with their warranty. They have lied to us a couple of times and they change from store to store. Here they will replace for free the computer. totally gave us a new one. We paid 100 for that warranty. We went to another store and they wanted to send it off. I was mad cause they never told us this about the store changes. Just be careful. 

I bought my comp from them four years ago... my ex husband watched porn so I am sure there are virus' on it plus needing to be updated. So pretty much the pics taken off... wiped clean and then updated. 

bypassssss geek squad overpaid underexperienced, get one of the geeks from your husband/wifes work to fix your computer for you, easier, cheaper, less heartache and sorrow...just saying 

I used to be a Geek Squad admin. Although most of them know what they are doing, it is veryy overpriced!
