I figured I would introduce myself on here. My name is Nikki. I am new on this site and also new to camp Pendleton. I wrote a very detailed summary on my profile page if anyone would like to check it out.
If anyone has any tips or info that might be helpful to me on here please pass it along. Also if someone could tell me how I post pics on here that would be great. I see there is a button that says choose file in order to post a display pic However it wont let me click on it. I was thinking maybe I had to be a member for a certain period of time before I could post photos.

I would say don't immediately think we're all biznatches just because things get dramatic or honest. Most of us are really nice and if you give us a shot we could turn out to be your friend.

There will always be judging, no matter where you go, who you meet or what you do. It's what you do WITH the judging that will make an impression.

My advice? Develop a good sense of humor, be prepared for badgering, nitpicking, laughing, crying and supporting. There will be stupid threads, funny threads, bashing threads and lovey dovey rainbows and unicorn threads.
We don't care how much money you make or what perfume you wear. Be yourself, learn how to use google and spell check, spell check, spell check!

Actually I do. I have a sense of humor but not when I feel attacked by people I don't know. Especially when all I did was introduce myself.

My advice would have been to get on here and really read the threads and see what kind of forum your on. The "heart and soul of blah blah blah" isn't exactly what your getting.

I don't get why people that are supposed to be a group of women in a similar boat as us would be so quick to get sarcastic/rude with someone they do not know. 

Welcome. Most people on here are pretty harmless, but it is a public internet forum. You just can't take things too personally. In fact, people have been nicer so far on this thread than I've seen them be to other newbies, so you actually got off kind of easy. :)

I didn't attack you. I was trying to joke with you. Hmmmmm my sense of humor must suck. 

You know, you guys may take some of these comments offensively, but I wish someone had given me said advice when I joined, it would have saved me a lot of drama and headaches almost 2 years ago.
Take everything with a grain of salt, have fun and just roll with it....3 special steps, that's all you need...3 special steps and you'll really succeed (can you tell I have a toddler?)
