SO my husband has now decided we are going to a family members wedding in texas the first weekend of January...anyone have a good place to go for cheap tickets? I know its like last minute and it will probably be expensive because of that anyway. Thanks! 

If you have the money - I would try Priceline's name your own price (if they still have it). I personally have never used it...but I have heard you can get some good deals.

either dallas/ft worth or lovefield i think its called...I found tickets round trip and a rental car for $610...i dont fly so is that a good deal? 

Use sidestep.com to look at all airlines but southwest, go directly for them. Make sure to consider expanding your search to include more airports, different departing and arriving airports, mixed airlines etc 

Try militaryfares.com I always have good luck there buying last min. tickets! Hope everything works out for you!

Yeah I always fly tues/wed/thurs if possible. Saturday can sometimes be good too 

we always fly southwest and call them directly.we never use the website for tickets,calling in and telling them your military gets you a good discount with them. 

militarytogo.com if both of you have ID's they do discounted tickets...this close to leaving, Idk how cheap you can get. I know also that Allegiant Air is VERY cheap, but they only fly to and from certain places!!!

My husband is calling southwest tomorrow...I told him he gets to do it all since he waited so long...so far online southwest is the cheapest weve found and its in our budget :) thanks guys! 

Make sure and ask them if they have better deals on the website. They usually tell me if they do but I had to ask once. 

If it's after January 4th, check Southwest. They are having a sale for tickets as low as $59 one way out of SAN. I think the cheapest I found to Dallas was $79.
