Did you know that this years Winter solstice is going to be very different than most?

On December 21, 2010, the longest night of the year, we will also be able to see a full moon rise than a full lunar eclipse and than see a full moon set. Because of the lunar eclipse the full moon will be dimmer and have a red hue, kind of like a blood moon or harvest moon. 

Blood moons are BAD omens...

Yep. I think the moon will be gorgeous and make for some great photos.

We celebrate Yule (the winter solstice) here so I will definitely be taking pics of this lovely event. 

In Ireland "The blood moon" means it is time to give thanks for hunting and storing.It also means during this moon it is harvest time for the spirit to make new friendships,love and give thanks for blessings.

OMG im have a moon phobia, like when theres a harvest moon or it appears larger than normal.... this is going to spazz me out. 

was just doing some reading and tonight will be the lunar eclipse. So if we don't have clouds (which is unlikely) we will be able to view the eclipse.

Me to, lol. But didn't some one post and article on here a while back saying that it could have been 100 or more years off or something like that? I know I remember something about it being posted.

WHAT??? Oh that's just great. I don't have my water supply built up, anything packed, the car has maybe 1/4 a tank in it, and I don't have my steel cover to go over us in the bathtub. We're screwed!!
