for everyone in Haiti or anyone that has family there. They are estimating about 100,000 people are dead, injured, or missing.
There are some ways you could help.
*Wyclef Jean opened up lines to be able to send some monetary relief. Just 10$ goes very far.
text YELE to 501501.
*I'm currently in Miami, which has a part of it known as Little Haiti. We are very close to Haiti, and are therefore collecting anything you can give... anything from clothes, blankets, canned goods, medical supplies. If someone wants to put together a box and send it here and have it turned in for relief, please p.m. me. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Here is some info. on what they need:
-blankets
-tents
-batteries
-candles
-clothing
-medical supplies
-medicine
-canned goods
-hygiene products : anything from toothpaste and toothbrushes to pads and toilet paper.
Anything that you would like to donate can be sent to my address, as I will be making TONS of runs to the donation and help centers.
Please do not make monetary donations to "relief fund" emails. They are all scams. It's so sad that some individuals would try and take advantage of this catastrophe, but as you all know, some people were born without a sense of sympathy and are full of ignorance.
does anyone know if they are allowing volunteers to fly in and help?
im sure thers a way to go and help, keep looking on the internet for groups that u can sign up in and go over there. there was tons of people that went over to help the katrina victums. I know that schools have groups to go
i'm all the way in Miami. I'm surrpunded by relief centers here, but I am trying to find one closer to CP. I will let you know what is available as soon as I find anything.
Amazon.com has added a box on its home page that customers can click to donate to the Haiti relief efforts of Mercy Corps, and anyone with a cell phone can donate $10 to the American Red Cross by sending a text message with the word "HAITI" to 90999.

sounds good, hopefull there something here that i could just drop off stuff, so i dont have to send it ya know?
The 2 text donation sites I have posted are NOT scams. They have both been cleared by the BBB. The 10.00 will be automatically added to your cell phone bill, so there is no need to take out your credit card.
There is a restaurant that is taking donations in L.A., bu its only money, and I'm not sure I would trust that too much. I will be trying to find location closer to CP tonight, so we can get the ball rolling and help them.

American Airlines is flying nurses and doctors over for free!!
They are saying it's better to send money instead of items b/c the ports are closed and they don't know when or if the packages will get through.
A friend of mine posted this on FB..
"American Airlines is taking doctors and nurses to Haiti for free. Please call 212 697 9767. . And UPS is offering free shipping for anything under 50 lbs going to Haiti."
Man! I am so worried - My "son" is over in Haiti and I have no idea if he is okay, and I don't know when I will be able to find out, probably not for a long time. His 4th birthday is in a couple of days too! :( Poor baby!
Just gotta keep praying but I'm worried.
ictory i am praying for you, and the hubs and i just donated 20.00 i feel bad for the little ones, it just broke my heart i statred to cry.
Aw thanks Hula. Yah I sent some relief cash that way as well ... I wish there was more I could do but right now I don't have many other options.
I am sure if you all go to the Red cross here in oceanside they will be able to take donations for them or will know of a place around here that you can..
On the radio this morning they were saying they need everything including socks, underwear and stuff that I wouldn't even think of. they said you can find a list of organizations on KSON website of where to drop stuff off at.
