My husband and I are moving to Camp Pendleton from Camp Lejeune, this feb. I was curious if anyone out there might give me some advice on the housing. Since there seem to be no pictures of the houses (aside from one on the Lincoln website). I wasnt sure how their interiors are, if the rooms are decent sized, ect. Just curious, Im getting anxious to get out there, and also very very curious as to the condition of Wire Mountain homes. (We are also considering San Onofre (SP)..) Thanks! 

I lived in WM1. They were nice. No backyard, small patio, but huge house.

Well, we got in base housing before they were built, so we moved there so they could tear down our old house. Our wait for the old house 3 years ago was 5 months. 

i live in wm2 and love it. big house small patio but alot of parks and the beach not to far. 

Great, wait time? lol, We have two small kids and one large breed dog, so Im trying to figure out if I look into an extended stay at hotel.... We will find out more when we get there I know. But Im just curious as what others waited... thanks.. the interiors are nice I take it? 

well i lived in start mesa before and i needed a one level home 3 1/2 yrs) then i had enough and called central housing and had the house really quick.

I would greatly appreciate it.. We just sold our house, would of loved to take it with us... Base housing sounds like our best bet. We have two bikes, and three vehicles... two babies, and a Great Dane.. so we deff. need the space... I plan on doing some major shopping when we get there, lol. I've been deprived here in Jville, NC ... (although Im from here)... apparently Ive never really been to a mall.. 

well with 3 vehicles u goin to have a problem. i have a 2 car garage. they are big houses.so u might want to get rid of one car.i miss NC which we go one day back, i was born on ft bragg. shoppin is ok here.expensive lol 

well we dont have a problem parking in the drive way either... two are daily drivers, one is a classic... with a two car garage and a big drive way we should be ok, I think? Oh this is what I hear... the price of everything is crazy compared to here.. 

some of the drive ways are kinda weird. i have a great drive way but i know couple of ppl cant really park their car. oh i tried to compare when we got here and just erase all the great deals u had before LOL because it was a culture shock.

lol I take it, base housing isnt much for yards? do they have a regulation against certain dog breeds?
