I'm 24 weeks pregnant today and I swear I have an athlete in my belly. She is ALWAYS kicking and moving. Well, as of 7 pm last night I haven't felt ANYTHING! I tried eating something, laying down and drinking a sweet drink... and still nothing. Should I call the doctor or am I just being a worry-wart? Or is there anything else I should try or do? Thanks girls!

Lexia --- 16 years ago -

If you've done all that and still nothing, call the doctor ASAP.

romanceconsultant --- 16 years ago -

might be sleeping. If the baby been that active daily.

T♥K♥C 6 --- 16 years ago -

No spotting or discharge? I would just give them a quick call. It's easier than worrying all day.

Mrs Mamas --- 16 years ago -

Hm...have you "poked" your belly? I would lightly "squish" your belly around with your hand feeling the baby to see if she responds. If not I would get checked out.

Lexia --- 16 years ago -

That is a LONG time to go - over 18 hours with no movement. I hope everything is okay.

annie kate --- 16 years ago -

might be sleeping thats what I thought but normally when she is if i shake my belly or push on it she usually starts moving so this time im just like getting all paranoid

ALEM --- 16 years ago -

worst thing they are going to say when you call is come in so they can put you on monitors.

annie kate --- 16 years ago -

I guess what im most worried about is calling and them saying im not far enough along to worry yet. Is that true???

I've read where there will be some really active days and then a day w/out activity. I have personally felt it, I am 22 wks pregnant, 2 days ago the baby was quiet in there, yesterday and today, moving all day. But if you are truly worried call you doctor :)

I guess what im most worried about is calling and them saying im not far enough along to worry yet. Is that true??? call them tell them everything and then they might have you come in and put you on monitors....better be safe than sorry.

Call the doctor. Alright.. thanks girls! Im sure evrything will be fine! (thats me pretending to be calm and collected)

♥China-cochina♥ --- 16 years ago -

i wouldnt worry about " being overly concerned" if you think there might be a prob . go in . your NOT wasting anyone's time, its better to be safe than sorry . they knew me in l&d lol .

Michelle R --- 16 years ago -

never worry about being overly concerned. if you've tried all you can to wake the baby up a bit and he/she just doesn't seem to be stirring, go in and let them put you on the monitor for a bit to ease your mind. :) that's what they're there for!

Liz~*Celebrating Home *~ --- 16 years ago -

Let us know how it goes, go get checked out though!

***KELLS*** --- 16 years ago -

eat some ice chips...and drink lots of water...get a full belly, well bladder anyway...she will get mad when she loses room to move around:)but you should go to the doc though...better safe than sorry

Maggie May --- 16 years ago -

I always called if I felt something was wrong. Who cares if it turns out to be nothing, at least you know she's okay. That's what doctors are there for!

Mestiza*Diva --- 16 years ago -

go to the hospital asap.

Ruthie --- 16 years ago -

guess what im most worried about is calling and them saying im not far enough along to worry yet. Is that true??? Better safe than sorry! DEMAND to be hooked up and checked out, who cares how far along you are, something is abnormal and you are concerned!

Ruthie --- 16 years ago -

Keep us updated when you get back.

CoCo --- 16 years ago -

I hope everything is okay. Don't be scared to call. I'm the same way, I hate going to the Doctor's especially if I'm not sure that there is something wrong because I dont want to waste anyone's time, but it IS better to be safe than sorry! I have been having a really bad stomach pain for the last couple of days. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and didn't want to be overdramatic and see the doctor, but finally my mom convinced me to call. They got me in right away and checked everything out and were really nice about the whole thing. So I didn't need to feel bad for calling, even though it turned out to be nothing!
